Gardening club needed to be moved to tomorrow (Thursday 11/13) due to a faculty meeting. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello Parents,

I just found out that we have a faculty meeting after school tomorrow (Wednesday) so I will need to reschedule gardening club for Thursday this week. I apologize for the short notice.

We are in the pre-K playground for today and next several weeks of gardening club.

We will be going back to the pre-K playground on Wednesday and will be there for the foreseeable future. Pickup will be at the pre-K playground at 4:00.

A neighbor of Poe and volunteer at The Houston Garden Club, Doris Heard, showed our gardeners bulbs and how to plant them! We are thankful for her expertise and help in our club!

We will be planting and getting dirty tomorrow in gardening club. I purchased a variety of fruits and vegetable plants that gardeners will help us plant in the butterfly garden. We now have: A Cherry plant, Blueberry plant/bush, Tomato plant, and Green and Red Bell Peppers plants! Next week we’ll plant flowers.

Gardeners will want to bring their garden gloves if they prefer to use their own. We do have extras though.

Just a reminder, pickup will be promptly at 4:00 at the gate on Wilton street (behind Poe at back of playground.)

We will be working in the butterfly garden today so pickup will be at the gate on Wilton Street. Located at the back of the playground.

Unfortunately we need to cancel and reschedule gardening club for today. It will be taking place tomorrow after school.
